Gaston County Medical Society Alliance Scholarship
The purpose of this annual scholarship award is to provide financial assistance for a student seeking higher education within a program of the Health and Human Services Division who has the ability and drive, but not the financial resources to attend college. Scholarships distributed from this Fund may be awarded to either recent high school graduates who have achieved a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 or a current student at Gaston College who has attained a minimum GPA of 2.5 in at least ¼ of their required program. Financial need is not a requirement for this scholarship, but should be strongly considered in the selection process. Preference should be given to students residing in Gaston County. Applicants must satisfy all Gaston College admissions requirements including any required placement tests for their program of study. The scholarship may be renewed for one additional year without the need for reapplication provided that the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5.
