Mrs. Diana Self and Mrs.Taylor Self Potter

The scholarship fund has been established by Diane Crosby Self and Taylor Self Potter in memory of Corporal Katelyn Self.Cpl. Self was raised in Dallas and was a graduate of North Gaston High School and attended Gaston College. She was a Deputy with the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office for four years before being tragically killed on May 20, 2018. To honor her memory as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all, her family has established this scholarship to provide financial support for students pursuing a career in Law Enforcement.
