PFLAG Gaston
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promote the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons and their families and friends through SUPPORT to cope with an adverse society, EDUCATION to enlighten an ill-informed public, and through ADVOCACY to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. PFLAG provides the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. Founded in 2009, PFLAG Gaston, an accredited chapter of the national PFLAG organization, has worked to provide support services to all who are LGBT, support the LGBT community, or are family members, friends, or associates of and LGBT individual seeking education, support or understanding.
