The Pauline Scruggs Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Altrusa Club of Gastonia in memory of Pauline Scruggs, its first president. This scholarship is awarded to 2-full time students in any course of study who have resided or worked in Gaston County for at least one year—preference given to female applicants. The recipients will be selected based on his/her character, integrity, academic achievement, and need. Must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA. Applicants are required to submit a transcript and letter of recommendation from one adult who is not a relative.
