The Gaston County Medical Society Alliance Scholarship
The Gaston County Medical Society Alliance is a volunteer organization of Gaston County, founded in 1947. Its mission is to improve the health and health education for Gaston County residents as well as address the concerns of the medical profession. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students within the program of health and Human Services Division. Scholarships distributed from this Fund may be awarded to either recent high school graduates who have achieved a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 or a current student at Gaston College who has attained a minimum GPA of 2.5 in at least ¼ of their required program. Financial need is not a requirement for this scholarship but should be strongly considered. Preference given to students residing in Gaston County. The scholarship may be renewed for one additional year without the need for reapplication provided that the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5.
