The Cindy Panter Memorial Scholarship for Workforce Excellence
Cindy Panter dedicated her life and career to serving others through her work with Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, where she directed Job Connections in Workforce Development. Her calling was clear: to help people rebuild their lives, find meaningful work, and rediscover their purpose. She had a gift for conversation, she could connect with anyone, from those facing economic hardship, past addictions, to individuals working to overcome the challenges of past incarcerations. With compassion and determination, she guided countless people toward second chances and brighter futures.
As a leader, she was purposeful, supportive, and unwavering in her belief that everyone has value. She championed the idea that no matter what your job title may be, you should always strive to be the BEST of the BEST. Through her work, she not only helped build the workforce but also strengthened her community and especially her family by uplifting those who needed encouragement the most.
This scholarship is a reflection of her legacy. It will be awarded to individuals who embody the qualities she believed in: leadership, a passion for life and work, and the willingness to grow and be better. Just as she lived her life in service to others, this award honors her spirit by supporting those who are ready to lead, to strive, and to shine.
