Patricia L. & Barry D. Farmer Scholarship

Mrs. Patricia L. Farmer established this scholarship in loving memory of her husband of 36 years, Mr. Barry D. Farmer who passed away at the age of 55 in 2004. Patricia and Barry both walked the halls of Gaston College as students in the late 1960’s pursuing degrees in Nursing and Civil Engineering. The purpose of this annual scholarship award shall be to provide financial assistance for two deserving students, one an incoming Gaston College freshman, and one a rising Gaston College sophomore, pursuing an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technologies. In the event that no students qualify, secondary consideration will be given to students pursuing an Associate Degree in any program within the division of Engineering and Industrial Technologies.
